The OC Transpo EquiPass: Information for Private Sponsors and Privately Sponsored Refugees

 OC Transpo had launched its much anticipated low-income transit pass! Known as the EquiPass, it is a monthly pass available to residents of Ottawa who fall below the low-income threshold. To help get the word out, OC Transpo has asked Refugee 613 to share information on the EquiPass application process that is specific to privately sponsored refugees (PSRs).

All applicants need to demonstrate proof of income. In the case of PSRs, proof of income must be demonstrated by an official letter from the private sponsor group. To streamline this process OC Transpo has provided a template letter (EN/FR). This template, application instructions, forms and general information are available for download here.
